About The Position

Full Time Day 8am - 4:30pm; REQUIRES: Bachelors Degree; previous neurophysiology experience preferred Job Duties: Administers psychological tests and measures under the supervision of a Clinical Neuropsychologist. Scores, profiles, records and organizes test material in support of the Clinical Neuropsychologist. Performs other tasks as required to maintain the neuropsychology forms and supplies, and to improve the delivery of patient care. Work closely with department leadership to facilitate efficient and high quality daily clinical operations. Responsible for developing and initiating improvements within the service line. Completes insurance authorization request forms. Assists with daily operations as needed. Administers neuropsychological tests selected by the clinical neuropsychologist including measures of intelligence, language, memory, sensorimotor function, strength, and personality. Scores tests, totals scores, and converts these raw scores to scaled scores, percentiles, T scores, stanines and rankings. Performs basic mathematical computations following provided formulas in order to develop the basic psychometric data required by the clinical neuropsychologist. Reports in an objective and scientific manner behavioral observations. Maintains necessary equipment and forms required in the neuropsychology laboratory. Performs the necessary independent study and reading including a thorough review of the test materials in order to be completely familiar with the methods involved. Delivers and retrieves neuropsychological tests at other locations in the Medical Center such as inpatient areas or treatment areas removed from outpatient clinic. Trains others within department on test administration as required and optimizes communication between clinical providers and scheduling team. Supports the department mission ensuring appropriate fees and billing policies, which will optimize department reimbursement while complying with contractual, state and federal requirements. Effectively manages resources. Proactively responds to and supports change to meet clinical demands; anticipates problems and effectively adjusts plans. Adjusts to changing work needs and demands. Work is typically performed in a clinical environment. Accountable for satisfying all job specific obligations and complying with all organization policies and procedures.
