The Psychometrist reports to the Neurology Lab Manager and clinically supervised by the Directors of Neuropsychology. The Psychometrist is responsible for administering neuropsychological tests to adult patients with diverse neurological disorders: scoring tests using standardized procedures, computing normative data and compiling data summary tables. The Psychometrist will discuss and review test results with the Neuropsychologist on a regular basis and is expected to seek supervision as needed to provide the best possible patient care. Job Description: Essential Duties & Responsibilities including but not limited to: Responsibilities also include: Administers neuropsychological tests following clinical instruction under the direction of a member of the Neuropsychology staff. Follow protocols to ensure accurate and valid test results. Maintenance of test protocols inventory, purchasing, storage and filing. Scores tests and completes data analysis; compiles and organizes test data for interpretation by Neuropsychologists. Behavioral observation; document examinee behavior, mood, effort and any factors that may affect performance. Provide written behavioral summaries to support interpretation. Interact extensively with the supervising Neuropsychologists, patients and their families, medical staff and other Medical Center Personnel. Handle and store test materials and results securely and confidentially; comply with all HIPAA and ethical guidelines. Administrative duties as assigned. Management of testing supplies and test equipment. Communicate all supply needs with supervisor. Participate in ongoing training and professional development related to psychological testing.
