About The Position
Public Finance Attorney (Associate or Income Partner) Location: Missoula, Montana RELOCATION ASSISTANCE PROVIDED! Silicon Valley Recruiting LLC is partnering with a respected international law firm to identify a Public Finance Attorney with strong transactional experience to join its Missoula, Montana office . This role is ideal for an attorney who wants to play a central role in a sophisticated public finance practice while collaborating closely with senior partners. The position offers exposure to the full lifecycle of public finance transactions , including advising on state and local matters and navigating complex federal and state tax considerations. The firm is open to hiring at the partner-track associate or income partner level , depending on experience.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school
- 5+ years of transactional legal experience
- Experience in public finance or municipal finance preferred
- Montana Bar admission or ability to obtain admission
- Strong analytical, drafting, and client relationship skills
- Willingness to travel within Montana for client engagement

Responsibilities
- Serve as bond counsel on governmental and economic development financings
- Support the full lifecycle of public finance transactions
- Advise on state and local financing matters
- Work on federal and state tax issues related to public finance transactions
- Assist with development of private activity bond financings , including: Healthcare facilities Housing Exempt facilities Other specialized development projects
- Maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders across Montana
- Participate in client meetings, speaking engagements, and networking opportunities
