Department The Public Relations team manages the organization’s public image and media relationships across key initiatives, events, and announcements. This department oversees press outreach, media strategy, and issue management to ensure consistent and accurate external messaging. The team works closely with internal stakeholders, athletes, and media partners to shape public perception and amplify major moments across the business.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Graduate degree program in Public Relations, Journalism, English, Communications, or a related discipline; Junior, Senior, or Graduate-level standing preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and familiarity with basic document formatting
  • Strong writing and editing abilities, with an interest in storytelling and media strategy
  • Excellent organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism

Responsibilities

  • Support coordination of media events and assist with on-site and remote media management
  • Research media outlets, writers, and journalists to support press outreach and pitching efforts
  • Assist with maintaining and updating the media database and contact lists
  • Support coordination of athlete media schedules in conjunction with events and appearances
  • Assist with drafting press releases and media materials under team guidance
  • Support coordination of interviews for events, including scheduling and logistics
  • Assist with drafting media pitches and outreach materials
  • Support daily news tracking, compilation, and internal distribution of media coverage
  • Assist the Public Relations team with additional projects and initiatives as needed
