About The Position

Reporting directly to the Director of Distribution and Channel, your function is a strategic advisor responsible for driving growth, solution adoption, and long‑term value across federal, state, and local government opportunities, as well as broader commercial business initiatives. This role engages directly with customers, channel partners, distributors, and internal stakeholders to identify opportunities, shape strategic roadmaps, and guide organizations through complex technology, procurement, and operational landscapes. The consultant serves as a trusted expert on public sector programs, compliance, procurement vehicles, market trends, and partner ecosystems—while also contributing to business strategy, cross‑functional alignment, and enterprise-level initiatives.

Requirements

  • Degree in education, business, marketing or a related field
  • At least 5 years' experience in sales with a successful, fast-paced, technology-driven business
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of individuals and teams both locally and remotely
  • Excellent reasoning and problem-solving abilities with a high level of self-motivation
  • Strong time management and planning skills
  • High degree of comfort operating in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and deadlines
  • Very strong to approach tasks with a positive attitude while focusing on performance and results
  • Demonstrated solid experience working with and developing relationships across sales channels and end users
  • A valid passport, or no impediment to obtaining one

Responsibilities

  • Executing against business plan to drive sales to ensure the company successfully meets agreed revenue, profitability and market share targets
  • Building relationships with strategically chosen resellers to grow Non-K12 business
  • Drive partner participation in Federal events, campaigns, and demand‑gen programs.
  • Developing and maintaining business relationships within assigned PODs to support sales activities
  • Prospecting for new business with channel partners focusing in Higher ED and Fed Gov.
  • Developing a customer relations strategy and monitoring effectiveness
  • Promoting and raising the profile of SMART solutions to drive brand equity
  • Monitor KPIs, sales performance metrics, and report on vertical specifics strategies (Higher Ed and Fed Gov)
  • Lead strategic product positioning through advanced workshops, solution mapping, for other SMART Reps
  • Travel may be required up to 50% of work time
  • A valid passport, or no impediment to obtaining one is required
  • Perform other duties as required
