Publicly Offered Funds Compliance Overview: The Publicly Offered Funds team oversees compliance for a range of SEC registered funds, including open-end, exchange-listed closed-end, tender-option, and interval funds as well as business development companies, all which pursue a variety of alternative investment strategies. We are seeking an Assistant Vice President to support various compliance-related functions these and future funds. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment but is also comfortable working independently on detail-oriented tasks.

Requirements

  • Strong organizational, attention to detail and issue-spotting skills
  • 5+ years of related experience working in a compliance role or paralegal role.
  • A strong interest in long-term career growth within the organization (5+ years).
  • Familiarity with the Investment Company Act of 1940, Investment Advisers Act and FINRA Rules
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Think critically and come up with solutions to solve challenges
  • Proactive in new situations and independently manages projects to conclusion.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent degree.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with internal and external teams to manage ongoing due diligence questionnaires.
  • Assist in the annual review of compliance programs for funds.
  • Assist with regulatory filings for the funds.
  • Review compliance policies and procedures for sub-advisers, service providers, and funds.
  • Help monitor and analyze industry and regulatory developments.
