Alternate Job Title: Portable Restroom Driver/Operator Job Summary: The Portable Restroom Driver/Operator operates the pump truck on pre-determined routes, controlling the truck's pump or similar equipment to collect waste from portable sanitation units and deposit their contents into the truck.
Requirements
- 3 years of commercial driving experience required, 5 years preferred
- Must be at least 25 years of age or older, due to insurance requirements for operating company vehicles.
- Valid Driver’s License or similar classification to operate a pump truck required.
- Must be available to work some weekends and holidays.
- Ability to work and drive in a variety of weather conditions.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Nice To Haves
- CDL License preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Responsibilities
- Operates pump truck on a pre-determined route; safely controls the pump as required to collect receptacles and deposit their contents in the truck.
- Performs and documents pre-operation safety checks on vehicle prior to embarking on route.
- Refuels truck and performs basic maintenance.
- Facilitates proper maintenance and mechanical service on truck by appropriate mechanics.
- Transports waste to the proper location for processing and/or disposal.
- Notifies dispatchers and/or supervisors of delays, unsafe sites, accidents, breakdowns, or other issues and documenting the same.
- Maintains logs of pickup times, daily mileage, and dump logs.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
