Setup, troubleshoot and run metal stamping manual & automatic presses using single, compound, draw, or progressive dies. Set up tooling and manual & automatic presses for part production, adjust tooling, make set up adjustments (troubleshoot) to maintain setups and make quality parts. Positions, aligns, and clamps specified punch and die set into ram and bed of machine. Adjusts shut height to set depth of stroke. Sets up coil feeder. Controls proper safety devices, feeds the material into dies and keeps stock well lubricated. Procures proper dies, sets up punch presses and feeds for all types of materials. All types of dies may be set up including blanking, drawing, forming, multi-slotting, trimming, shearing, cut-off, etc. Ability to read blueprint. Manufacture and inspect part to blueprint or Master Sample Ability to use caliper or measuring tools to inspect both visually and with gauges to verify specifications. Ensure that inspection of first and last piece is done Gets dies from, and returns dies to their proper place in storage rack Ability to read work orders and bill of material and apply to manufacturing process. Follow schedule as provided by planners Must be able to read and perform simple math
