Position Summary: A Purchasing Analyst II at FCC Environmental Services, LLC is responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement process, from requisition to receipt and payment, for field operations. Key duties include managing supplier relationships, maintaining accurate inventory levels through collaboration with other departments, tracking purchase orders, and ensuring all procurement records are complete and accurate. This role also involves conducting physical inventory counts and verifying system records to manage discrepancies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or similar area of study, or five or more years of previous relevant experience
  • 5+ years of purchasing experience
  • Strong understanding of procurement practices and controls
  • Ability to work independently while effectively communicating updates and escalating issues when needed
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suits, particularly Excel
  • Experience working with ERP systems (Tabware, SAP, others)

Responsibilities

  • Provides timely and accurate execution of field requisitions from purchase order through approval, fulfillment, receipt and checks all deliveries and verifies accuracy
  • Manages Service Agreement and Supplier Contracting process
  • Establishes professional relationships with key supplier personnel in both sales and fulfillment.
  • Responsible for inventory and warehouse management through a collaborative effort with maintenance and operations to maintain appropriate levels of spare parts and consumable materials
  • Monitor status of all purchase orders in progress and provide order-tracking detail to internal customer
  • Maintains all procurement related files
  • Maintains computerized inventory system to ensure that all material is properly catalogued and able to be requisitioned as required.
  • Supports plant outage activities by attending scheduled outage meetings to monitor the status of weld gases and outage expendables, and by preparing warehouse inventory for issuance to plant and contractor personnel.
  • Counts material, equipment, merchandise, or supplies in stock and posts totals to inventory records.
  • Verifies on hand quantities in the CMMS against physical count of stock adjusts errors in system or count, and investigates and reports reasons for discrepancies
  • Checks materials upon request against vendor invoices, bills of lading, orders etc.
  • Records all shortages, damage and defects and notifies Plant Management
  • Issues requisitioned consumables, updates inventory and maintains required records.
  • Conducts inventories required by policies and procedures
  • Compiles information on receipt or disbursement of material
  • Prepares reports as required including inventory balance, price lists, and shortages.
  • Stocks and issues materials or merchandise
  • Communicates clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing
  • Maintain positive work environment by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with customers, clients, vendors, co-workers and management.
