About The Position

PruittHealth is seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing Buyer with 2+ years of experience to join our procurement team. This role is responsible for sourcing , negotiating, and overseeing supplies and services, to support our healthcare operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in supply chain management, vendor relations, and cost control to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and services.

Requirements

• Minimum 2+ years of purchasing or procurement experience, preferably in healthcare, maintenance, or commodities purchasing.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field preferred

• Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook).
• Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, Data visualization, VLOOKUP’s, Index & Match)
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple procurement projects simultaneously.
• Knowledge of healthcare supply chains, maintenance supplies, and/or corporate travel procurement is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Identify and source suppliers for commodities, travel-related needs, and maintenance supplies, ensuring quality and cost efficiency.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors, negotiating favorable pricing, terms, and contracts.
• Ensure all purchases comply with company policies, industry regulations, and contractual obligations.
• Track procurement trends, supplier performance, and cost savings initiatives, providing regular reports to management.
• Work closely with internal departments, including maintenance, facilities, and finance, to align purchasing strategies with organizational needs.
