About The Position

Emerson has an exciting opportunity for a Quality Inspector Lead ! Based in Houston, TX (Aldine Westfield location) you will coordinate the efforts of developing process controls, action plans and other requirements needed for effective quality control. Perform inspection and verify that products conform to the required configurations and performance mechanically, electrically and visually. Ensures that quality inspection records are kept per established requirements in order to show that all items have been manufactured, assembled and tested according to requirements of engineering, manufacturing, customer and any other certification requirements. In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be: Perform inspection functions including electrical function test, visual and dimensional checks to raw castings, switch-racks, and work in progress utilizing gauges, multiple types of measuring instruments Lead and coordinate efforts and perform First Article inspection, incoming/receiving and final inspection of parts and routine/daily process audits Ensure inspected material and parts conform to engineering drawings and tolerances, quality standards, completeness of operation and any other specifications and/or instructions Issues Nonconformance reports, records and maintains quality assurance data Lead and coordinate recalibration of measurement instruments Participate in customer and regulatory agency audits Use existing procedures to perform or coordinate hands-on calibration and/or verification work. Participate in training and continuing education Performs other duties as assigned Work overtime as required Who You Are: You analyze multiple and diverse sources of information to define problems accurately before moving to solutions. You promote a sense of urgency and establish and implement individual accountability in the team For This Role, You Will Need: High School diploma or GED Minimum 2 years related experience in a manufacturing environment Able to utilize digital and dial calipers, multi-ohm, voltage test meters, thread and ring gauges Experienced in the proper and safe use of hand and light power tools Basic math skills needed for business calculations Must be proficient in MS Office including Excel, Word & Outlook Able to lift parts weighing in excess of 50 pounds (assistance when needed) and to work in bending, squatting and standing positions (includes working off ladders) for long periods of time (in excess of one hour) Effective communication skills: verbal and written (English) Follow written and/or oral instructions in English Legal authorization to work in the United States (sponsorship is not available for this position) Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart: Pass forklift certifications and requirements to operate forklifts Electrical Technician experience Electrical certification Our Culture & Commitment to You: At Emerson, we prioritize a workplace where every employee is valued, respected, and empowered to grow. Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Minimum 2 years related experience in a manufacturing environment
