About The Position

R2Net is a diamond bridal jewelry company with a technology soul. R2Net Inc. is an innovative technology company that provides e-commerce and supply chain platforms to connect the entire span of the diamond industry’s ecosystem, including manufacturers, retailers and consumers. The QC Manager Inbound will be responsible for overseeing and executing the inspection process of jewelry items received from customers for repair services or for return. This role requires a keen eye for detail, extensive knowledge of marking requirements and craftsmanship, and the ability to work with precious metals and gemstones. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in jewelry repair and manufacturing, exceptional problem-solving skills, and a dedication to maintaining the highest standards of quality.

Requirements

3+ years of experience in jewelry quality control management with knowledge of manufacturing, jewelry fabrication techniques, and precious metals.
5+ years of experience in jewelry repair services required.
Extensive knowledge and understanding of jewelry inspection procedures.
Strong attention to detail to detect subtle flaws in polishing, stone setting, or metal quality.
Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
Strong ability to provide constructive feedback to suppliers or repair facilities.

Nice To Haves

Graduate Gemologist degree preferred.
Knowledge of manufacturing and jewelry fabrication preferred.
Benchwork for setting and polishing preferred.

Responsibilities

Responsible for overseeing the QC inspection of serviced jewelry ensuring that repaired items meet high-quality standards for craftsmanship, materials, and finish.
Perform detailed inspections of serviced jewelry including repair, resizing, polishing and stone setting. Report all critical fails to management.
Responsible for the inspection of high value serviced jewelery and ensuring high value policy is enforced following level of graduate gemologist inspection criteria based on value.
Responsible for the accuracy of all customer orders processed and the timely completion of the inspection.
Responsible for overseeing the systematic movement of customer orders from QC admin receiving location to inspection workstation.
Train staff on quality standards, inspection techniques and proper handling of delicate materials. Conduct training for new team members on precious metals, types of jewelry, ring mountings, prong style, alternative materials, and design features.
Maintain accurate records of quality control activities and inspection results.
Perform gemological testing and assist with special projects as needed.
Support QC operations for processing inbound inspection orders as needed.
Manage staff. Coach staff in improving developmental needs, assisting them to reach career goals, benefiting themselves and R2Net.
