About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Aerospace Inspector to join our Quality team. This role is critical to ensuring aircraft components and assemblies comply with FAA/EASA regulations, AS9100 standards, and internal quality requirements. The ideal candidate has hands-on inspection experience, strong technical documentation skills, and thrives in a fast-paced aerospace environment focused on safety, precision, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical or aerospace-related training preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in aerospace manufacturing or FAA repair station inspection
  • Working knowledge of FAA regulations (Part 145), AS9100, and aerospace quality systems
  • Proficient with precision measuring tools and mechanical inspection techniques
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications
  • Strong attention to detail with accurate documentation and recordkeeping skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with CMM inspection and Zeiss Calypso software
  • Knowledge of calibration systems, special processes, or non-destructive testing (NDT)
  • Familiarity with EASA requirements
  • Experience working in a regulated, audit-driven environment
  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License
  • ASQ Certified Quality Inspector (CQI)
  • IPC, NADCAP, or NDT Level II Certification

Responsibilities

  • Perform visual and dimensional inspections of incoming, in-process, and final parts and assemblies
  • Verify tolerances using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and related tools
  • Ensure components meet FAA regulations, customer specifications, and internal quality standards
  • Review and verify quality documentation including work orders, Certificates of Conformance, inspection records, and travelers
  • Accurately document inspection results and maintain quality records in compliance with FAA and AS9100 requirements
  • Identify, document, and report nonconformances; support root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Perform calibration checks and basic calibration activities as required
  • Support internal, customer, and regulatory audits (FAA, AS9100)
  • Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams to resolve quality issues and improve processes
  • Participate in continuous improvement and quality initiatives
