About The Position

The CCMSD Quality and Compliance Coordinator supports the organization's quality improvement, patient safety, and regulatory compliance programs. This role assists with monitoring regulatory standards, coordinating quality initiatives, managing audits and surveys, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement across clinical and non‑clinical departments. The coordinator works collaboratively with leadership, providers, and staff to ensure compliance with federal, state, and accrediting body requirements while advancing patient care quality and safety.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of healthcare quality improvement and regulatory compliance principles.
  • Familiarity with CMS, Joint Commission, and other healthcare regulatory frameworks.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to interpret regulations, policies, and quality data with effective written/verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and disciplines.
  • Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR), spreadsheets, and reporting tools
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, Nursing, Public Health, Quality, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience in healthcare quality, compliance, risk management, or regulatory support preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Clinical background (RN, LPN, or allied health) a plus but not required.
  • CPHQ or other quality/compliance certification preferred or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

  • Support development, implementation, and monitoring of quality improvement (QI) Compliance program and patient safety initiatives.
  • Collect, analyze, and report quality performance data, including clinical outcomes, patient safety indicators, and process measures.
  • Assist with performance improvement projects, root cause analyses, and corrective action plans.
  • Maintain dashboards and reports for leadership, committees, and governing bodies.
  • Support patient experience and satisfaction improvement initiatives.
  • Assist in maintaining compliance with applicable healthcare regulations and standards (e.g., CMS Conditions of Participation, Joint Commission, HIPAA).
  • Coordinate regulatory readiness activities, including mock surveys, audits, and documentation reviews.
  • Track compliance findings, action plans, and follow‑up activities.
  • Assist with policy and procedure review, updates, and version control to ensure regulatory alignment.
  • Support privacy, confidentiality, and HIPAA compliance efforts.
  • Participate in internal audits, chart reviews, and compliance monitoring activities.
  • Assist with incident reporting, risk assessments, and trend analysis.
  • Support infection prevention, emergency preparedness, and patient safety initiatives in collaboration with designated leaders.
  • Maintain records related to quality, compliance, and accreditation activities.
