About The Position

Quality Assurance (QA) Testing and Evaluation is responsible for driving the planning, execution, and continuous improvement of QA processes for products and features. This role is project-based and requires strong technical expertise, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration. Core Functions • Develop appropriate standards and best practice for design and deployment of security technology program. • Establish engineering and technical limitations and applications for items, materials, processes, methods, designs, and engineering practices for use by designers, installers, technicians, and programmers for security technology program. • Evaluates data in scientific journals, suppliers' catalogs, government standards documents, and other sources of information on materials, processes, and parts to update standards and best practices. • Review and prepare specification sheets and standard drawings designating parts and materials acceptable for specific uses, using knowledge of primary engineering discipline and related disciplines. • Examine all factors involved to confirm that standards will result in most accurate and economic use of material and labor consistent with safety, security, scalability, consistency, and reliability of the final product. • Interpret and communicate the standards accurately and effectively to the general audience • Review standards prepared with other departmental specialists to assure consistency with existing standards and those in other specialized disciplines.

Requirements

  • 2 - 4 years of experience in Security Industry design or application engineer
  • Understand perimeter and physical security concepts and risk management
  • Knowledge of Networking foundation and Network Security
  • Experienced in Access Controls Systems, Intrusion Detection, Video Management, Cameras, Video Intercoms, Key Management, Lock Hardware.
  • Knowledge of building code and life safety code applied to physical security
  • Knowledge of project management
  • Highly detail oriented when documenting and executing tasks
  • Consistently high level of customer service and professional demeanor
  • Has a passion to learn and curiosity for how things function properly
  • Strong written and verbal skills
