Coordinates all federal and state activities related to licensure and certification activities for Arkansas long-term care facilities, including but not limited to, the review and processing of name change requests, bed increase/decrease actions, changes of ownership, facility closures, and the initial licensure of long-term care facilities. Reviews and processes administrator and director of nursing (DON) change requests. Audits minimum staffing quotas on monthly basis, ensuring that staffing information is entered by providers into the QuickBase application. Coordinates with state and federal agencies in policies and procedures. Collaborates with various internal and external stakeholders to carry out work functions. Provides overall informational support related to licensure and certification. Provides limited technical support for various databases and applications that are utilized for licensure and certification functions, coordinating with DPSQA IT, if necessary. Provides the latest information to providers to ensure timelines are met. Complies data, prepares and sends reports to requesting entities and DHS personnel. Thoroughly reviews correspondences and documents. Monitors assigned mailboxes, ensuring that inquires are addressed in a timely manner.
