About The Position

JOB SUMMARY: Inspects products at various stages of production process and compiles and evaluates statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products by performing the following duties. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Inspect in-process materials. 2. Inspect finished goods. 3. Maintain records and samples according to procedures. 4. Complete necessary quality assurance forms to ensure control of accepted and rejected products tested including reject tags, and certifications. 5. Certify core material for customer qualification and acceptance programs. 6. Perform internal audits and over-the-shoulder inspections. 7. Pre-approval and inspection of incoming process materials. 8. Documentation of scrap in the core department. 9. Coordinate work in conjunction with manufacturing and sales to ensure product is inspected in a timely fashion. 10. Conduct on-the-job training for operators in the use of measuring tools, manufacturing processes, manufacturing instructions, department duties, and print reading. 11. Review and document quality requirements on all new work orders. 12. Work with Customer Service on issues of customer complaints, waivers for non-conforming process materials, and returned goods. 13. Conduct prototype testing to evaluate product performance. Coordinate Testing with Plascore Laboratories. 14. Occasional visits to vendor or customer locations to participate in problem solving or defining quality requirements. 15. Review manufacturing instructions and process specifications for approval. 16. Complete requirements and obtain certifications for Customer Designated Quality Representative/Inspector. Inspect parts on behalf of customer. 17. Participate in improving our product, processes, equipment and methods. 18. Handle internal and external questions in a prompt professional manner. 19. Maintains a clean and safe work environment at all times. 20. Continually looks for ways to improve job efficiency and performance. 21 Performs all reasonably related duties as assigned. 22. Maintain a quality leadership role. 23. Candidate must be able to pass corrected or uncorrected vision testing

Requirements

  • Four-year degree or equivalate work experience (4-5 years) in purchasing/supply chain field
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to take initiative
