About The Position

Procon delivers high-impact projects across the U.S. and internationally, specializing in program and construction management, project controls, commissioning, and construction technology. Procon is seeking a Quality Assurance Inspector specializing in the Federal Sector to join our team. This position involves performing inspections and assessments on federal projects, ensuring compliance with approved plans, specifications, and codes. The Quality Assurance Inspector will monitor construction processes and document findings, providing detailed reports and photographic evidence of site conditions. The role includes supporting project coordination efforts and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure project success.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of construction experience in inspection, quality assurance, or quality control roles.
  • Associate’s degree in a construction-related field (may be waived with equivalent experience).
  • OSHA 30 Certification required.
  • USACE Construction Quality Management (CQM) certification required.
  • Strong knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Experience performing field inspections, deficiency tracking, and quality documentation.
  • Ability to verify materials, workmanship, and installation compliance with project requirements.
  • Familiarity with construction management/reporting systems (e.g., eBuilder).
  • Strong documentation, communication, and coordination skills with contractors and project teams.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily jobsite inspections to ensure work complies with contract drawings, specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements.
  • Maintain project tracking logs including RFIs/redlines, deficiencies, and testing/inspection records.
  • Verify materials delivered and installed match approved submittals and are stored properly.
  • Document work progress, workforce activity, delays, and site conditions in daily QA reports with photo documentation.
  • Identify and document deficiencies or non-conforming work and coordinate corrective actions with the contractor.
  • Observe and coordinate third-party testing and inspections and track results.
  • Review contractor daily reports, submittals, and documentation for accuracy and compliance.
  • Participate in project meetings, quality control inspections (preparatory, initial, and final), and weekly coordination meetings.
  • Monitor project progress against the schedule and report issues to project leadership.
  • Support pay application reviews, change order verification, and punch list inspections.
  • Verify contractor compliance with approved QC plans, safety requirements, and contract specifications.
