Salary range: $101,400-138,285 The salary range listed is a guide for this position and may vary depending on experience, education, geographic location, and other qualifications. The final offer will be determined based on the candidate's individual merits and the company's compensation policies. Under the direction of the Plant manager, the Quality Assurance Manager assures Elmore plant quality systems, procedures, and policies are maintained to satisfy Materion, customer and third-party requirements. The Quality Assurance Manager manages the AS9100D site quality system and the quality engineers who support the unique value streams. The position may provide technical support to all corporate divisions as required. You will have the opportunity to: Manage and ensure plant adherence to AS9100D quality system by leading internal, external, and customer audits, customer complaint, specification review, plant score cards, process change reviews, and document control system. Establishing best practices and continuous improvement per the standard. Supports Lean Six Sigma initiatives. Work alongside operations teams on identifying quality drivers and RCCA. Comply with and promote EH&S policies & procedures; leads strategic efforts to improve EHS performance and overall production efficiencies. Identify key process improvements for EH&S and lead cross functional teams within the department to accomplish these goals. Serves as department lead for Quality in plant wide safety teams. Assist in creating an environment of high performance, high morale and positive employee relations. This includes having designated projects on employee engagement and supporting cultural change. Administers the annual performance management process for quality engineers. Develops goals and periodically appraises work performance of employees and pursues appropriate action. Identifies and recommends capital expenditures to maintain and improve quality capabilities and reduce overall costs across the site. Assists other Quality functions to maintain NADCAP & ISO17025 certification of the business. Prepares progress reports providing updates about the status of quality at the site. Manages the budget for the quality engineering team. Acts as necessary to meet or improve standards and budgetary commitments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field and 2+ years of relevant Inspection, Quality, or related technical experience.
  • 2 years of relevant experience leading people.
  • Proficiency in SAP, Microsoft Excel, Word, Access and Power Point.
  • Exceptional leadership skills and results oriented.
  • Communication skills to effectively interact with employees, internal partners and customers.
  • Effective managerial skills and capabilities.
  • Experienced in administering formal corrective action processes.
  • Working knowledge of SPC methods.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Nondestructive testing, e.g. Fluorescent Penetrant, Radiography and Ultrasonic
  • Familiarity with Materion Be Products product specifications for metal, composite and powder products and the management thereof
  • Familiarity with Nadcap NDT
  • Certified as an Internal auditor
  • Experienced supervising engineers
