About The Position

The QAQC Site Manager is responsible for all quality assurance and quality control activities at a designated project site. Collaborate with site management to ensure quality requirements are met and embedded into each project schedule. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. QA/QC Manage the assigned QAQC team for the project/site, providing direction, coordination, and performance oversight to ensure all quality activities are executed in alignment with Muratec standards and project objectives. Serve as the primary quality contact for assigned project/site, representing QAQC in meetings and communications with the Site Manager, project team, and customer. Utilizing available team resources, create and update site-specific QAQC plans, check sheets, and audit schedules in accordance with Muratec standards. Serve as the project’s quality authority and advocate, collaborating with site management to ensure quality requirements are embedded into every project schedule and given equal priority alongside budget and timeline objectives. Track and report quality metrics, issues, and resolutions using company systems (e.g., EHS Insight Database). Monitor project progress from the lens of QAQC and Quality, ensuring all applicable procedures and processes are followed. Foster a culture of safety, continuous improvement, and quality excellence at the site. Training Train and certify Muratec QAQC Technicians, and installation project contractors on QAQC requirements, expectations, and activities. Assist site managers and installation leadership in developing expectations for contractors. Coordinate and verify appropriate methods and clarification of work instructions. Business Process Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align on quality objectives. Use Lean and Root Cause analysis tools to eliminate process gaps and drive continuous improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business administration or equivalent; minimum 4 years’ experience in monitoring and supporting QA/QC programs.
  • Experience with continuous improvement methods, concepts, and training in Lean skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Excellent oral and written communication in English.
  • Ability to articulate problems to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as metric measurements, degrees, volumetric flow, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Able to teach others the same abilities.
  • Ability to hold the line vs. schedule and ensure quality equipment is turned over to the customer the first time.
  • Critical thinking and data-driven problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to effectively lead/supervise QAQC Technicians, including mentoring and evaluations.
  • Able to create presentations for Senior Management or the customers that are succinct, and fact driven.
  • Ability to read and understand prints, schematics, and diagrams and teach others to do so.
  • Ability to create, alter, read, sort documentation including use of Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and SharePoint.
  • Willing and able to travel up to 25% mainly domestic. International travel may be required.
  • A valid driver’s license and good driving record are required.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with construction contractors is a plus or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • Bilingual English/Japanese is a plus.
