Description The primary purpose of this job is to provide inspection support for Quality to ensure that product from outside vendors is conforming to customer requirements, and medical device manufacturing/operations are performed in accordance with applicable Regulatory and Standards requirements for compliance

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Competence in the selection and use of Inspection Tools and Techniques.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to understand and comply with relevant Domestic and International Regulations and Industry Standards (e.g. FDA 21CRF820, ISO 13485:2016, QSR, etc.)
  • Must be able to complete prioritized tasks with minimal direct supervision

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in medical device or regulated manufacturing a plus
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel preferred
  • Experience with Minitab is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Adheres to Viant Core Beliefs and all safety and quality requirements including, but not limited to: Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, Company policies and operating procedures, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Inspect vendor supplied raw material, components, and assemblies, including completion of related documentation to support product acceptance and traceability.
  • In-process inspection, final inspection and/or first article inspection as required.
  • Use most gaging methods in the facility, including optical comparator, VMM, CMM, calipers, micrometers, gage pins/hard gages, profilometer, and height stands.
  • Understanding of GD&T and other blueprint and dimensioning methods
  • Implements various product and process improvement methodologies.
  • Assist in executing capability studies and test method validation.
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement activities as needed.
  • May assist in performing calibration activities
  • Performs other functions as required
