About The Position

Perform Global Inventory Search Perform Physical Inspection of Parts per type design in local Inventory Location Communicate with offsite locations where noted parts are found. Initiate Discrepancy Reports for all Discrepant parts Found. Quarantine Discrepant parts Initiate GIAP for Parts that have escaped Assist with Reports on Stock Sweep process for Management as needed. Assist with Training and Development of new incoming quality Techs.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 4 years quality assurance/control, manufacturing operations, maintenance and/or military operations experience is required.
  • Able to stand for moderate amounts of time.
  • Able to lift a min of 35lbs.
  • Familiar with Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance (GD&T) standard ASME Y14.5 preferred.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Working knowledge of Statistical tools used for problem resolution.
  • Working knowledge Lean/Six Sigma principles(certification preferred).
  • Knowledge of manufacturing and/or maintenance processes (i.e. Assembly, Machining, Special Process, Inspection, etc.).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • This job requires one to be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

  • Support MRB activities
  • Process discrepant material (DRDIs and QNs)
  • Production support
  • Completions (production parts)
  • Process QA_MR and QC_PR DRDI tags.
  • Process LCS material.
  • Process RTV material.
  • SAP and SCAR moves in the system
  • Follow up and process/coordination stock sweeps.
  • Support and cover other MRB locations.
  • Collaborating in MRB projects
  • Participating in productions meeting
  • Training new MRB members
  • Conduct process improvement in the MRB Cribs.
  • Conduct internal audits for inventory control.
  • Administer quality control methods required. for the product or service of the area.
  • Prepare or revise department procedures and instructions as specified by senior Quality Assurance personnel to implement quality control requirements.
  • Document revision or modification of systems, methods and techniques necessary to maintain or improve quality and/or reliability as per instructions from senior Quality Assurance personnel.
  • Support special projects as assigned.
  • Responsible for support of activities in one or more areas of the Quality Assurance Department.
  • Write and review both internal and external Corrective Actions.
  • Follow-up on Corrective Action implementation.
  • Support audits and improvement workshops.
  • Assure that the investigations on Quality issues are conducted according to department procedures and work instructions.
  • Participate in process improvement projects related to achieving improved quality or efficiency of Quality processes.
  • Interrogate data and prepares analysis or associated documentation.
  • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction (internal and external customers).
  • Work with other departments and/or disciplines.
  • Promote and encourages a continuous improvement culture.
  • Support the operating priorities as identified by the Quality leadership team.
  • May support other areas of Quality.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
