They allow us to ensure the highest level of customer service by maintaining product standards and specifications.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Quality Assurance.
  • Regularly required to sit, stand or walk for long periods; use hands to finger, handle, or feel, objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms.
  • Good computer skills required.
  • Great communication skills--verbal and written; must effectively communicate with employees, vendors, and customers.
  • Independent in working effectively with little supervision; self-starter, displaying ability to work and deliver results in a fast-paced, performance driven environment.
  • Good attention to detail, time management skills, organization and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work as a cross-functional team member.
  • Knowledge of GFSI or other food packaging standards.

Responsibilities

  • To carry out QC inspections on components manufactured on all production machines as required.
  • To ensure that all customer specific QC Inspections are completed.
  • To carry out post-production quality checks as required.
  • To continually identify process and product risks that may result in products not meeting customer requirements and reporting them to area management.
  • To identify opportunities for improvement to your supervisor, analyst or manager.
  • To comply with all area work instruction and personal hygiene requirements.
  • To liaise with department managers and shift supervisors on all quality related production problems.
  • To liaise with production and customer service on quality concerns, held production, Corrective Action/Preventive Action (CAPA) and quality Alerts.
  • To determine disposition of suspect product produced.
  • To comply with quality standards as set by the company and to co-operate in both internal and external audits as required.
  • To adhere to stated policies and procedures relating to: health and safety, quality, environmental management, and food safety
  • To ensure that the department is safe and clean.
  • To carry out administration and reporting as necessary.
  • To liaise with sales, customer service, corporate engineering, and the customer on the design and development of new products.
  • To liaise with the department managers with mold and tooling related production issues.
  • Provide technical packaging support to production.
  • Any other reasonable tasks requested by management.
  • To control and have responsibility for package development and quality of all components produced at the Valdosta facility.
  • To check that all components are designed and produced effectively, efficiently and to company and customer standards at all times.
  • To ensure all working practices and standards related to quality are adhered to.
  • Staff are informed and held accountable for their food safety and regulatory responsibilities; Staff are positively encouraged and required to notify management of actual or potential food safety issues; and Staff are empowered to act to resolve food safety issues within their scope of work.
  • Other duties as assigned
