About The Position

This role will be for a Quality Assurance Tester within our customer’s Video Software Division. The role will primarily be focused on manual testing of software on client video and audio hardware devices, primarily HP/Poly, with client computers. This position has during Monday through Friday day shift hours, 100% on-site at the customer’s Austin, Texas, facility. This is a full-time, long-tem, benefitted position where the candidate must be located local to Austin and already be legally eligible for employment in the U.S. (cannot require visa sponsorship). Executes quality assurance and test processes for portions of end-user applications, systems software, and firmware running on hardware, local, networked, and Internet-based platforms. Analyzes design and determines test and integration activities required based on specific objectives and established project guidelines. Executes and contributes to portions of testing plans, protocols, and documentation for assigned portion of application. Participates as a member of project team of other software quality assurance engineers and internal and outsourced development partners to develop reliable and cost-effective testing and quality assurance solutions for assigned software portion. Sets up test environment and trouble shoots hardware, software, and network issues to ensure completion of test plans. Documents test results using appropriate test tools (JIRA, QMetry, Confluence, etc.) according to customer’s requirements. Collaborates and communicates with internal and outsourced development partners regarding software applications design status, project progress, and issue resolution.

Requirements

  • 2+ years’ experience in QA testing (hardware and software, networks, etc.) preferred.
  • Must have a strong competency in MS Office programs including Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, MS Teams, etc.
  • Detail-oriented individual who is comfortable working within a team and can also work independently with little direction.
  • Experience with software quality assurance tools and processes.
  • Software and hardware testing methodology, including execution of test plans, debugging, and testing scripts and tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language.
  • Windows PC setup (software and hardware) experience.
  • Experience with tools such as JIRA, QMetry, Confluence, etc.
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Microsoft Teams Rooms or Zoom Room a plus.
  • HIgh school diploma or equivalent preferred.
