About The Position

US Farathane is seeking an experienced Quality Auditor . This position is responsible for supporting the Quality System including auditing of in-process product per instructions as well as all associated documentation and performing the duties of Receiving, Dock Auditing as needed. US Farathane has been a leading source of plastics manufacturing, supplying the automotive industry for over 40 years. Through highly technical research and development, coupled with a diverse and knowledgeable Management Team and dedicated Associates, US Farathane has continued to grow each year. We provide customers with a wide range of full-service support from black-box design concepts to highly engineered composites, TPE’s and TPO’s as well as specialized extrusion and compression technologies.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of quality systems and standards.
  • Knowledge of inspection techniques and simple measurement instrument usage.
  • Capable of performing Gage R&R and capability studies
  • Ability to read interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence, and to speak and present information effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Good organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to do simple math: addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
  • Ability to add positive and negative numbers.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to handle problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Frequent standing or walking for long periods of time.
  • Regularly lifting or lowering objects up to 30 pounds.
  • Frequent reaching above/below shoulder and forward.
  • Occasional bending, stooping, and crouching.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include ability to adjust focus.
  • The employee must have the ability to distinguish color variation.
  • The employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.
  • The employee must not wear any loose-fitting clothing that may get in the way of the moving machinery.
  • The employee is occasionally exposed to extreme heat and vibration.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  • Employee may be required to work outside for short periods of time.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Receiving Inspection and Dock Auditing as needed.
  • Perform in-process inspection of product to determine compliance to customer requirements.
  • Maintain variable charts per blueprint and/or customer requirements.
  • Monitor data received by sub-contractors for compliance to specifications as needed.
  • Assist in sort operations as needed.
  • Responsible for following all internal and OSHA required safety procedures.
  • Adherence to all company policies and procedures (i.e. quality manual, associates handbooks, level II procedures, etc.).
  • Maintain work area per housekeeping standards.
  • Performs all other duties as requested by the Quality Manager.
