Arthrex is actively searching for a QC Inspector II for our facility in Santa Barbara, Ca. The QC Inspector performs a variety of quality control test and inspection functions on materials, components and finished goods at various stages of the production process and compiles statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year in a quality control or related industry experience required
  • Possesses a thorough knowledge of Good Documentation Practices (GDP) as required by regulatory and quality standards.
  • Effective communication with the team and supervisor regarding issues. Exhibits basic knowledge of effective communication skills to those in leadership in written and verbal formats.
  • Ability to comprehend and apply mathematical principles to the degree required to perform the job based upon job requirements.
  • Ability to comprehend and apply language skills to the degree required to perform the job based upon job requirements. Ability to verbally communicate ideas and issues effectively to other team members and management. Ability to write and record data and information as required by procedures.
  • Ability to follow all safety training requirements for his/her position. Immediately notifies management and/or the Safety Officer of any unsafe work conditions that might arise.

Responsibilities

  • Performs and documents dimensional inspections on inventory parts using engineering prints, inspection procedures or work instructions.
  • Selects products for tests at specified stages in production process, and tests products for variety of qualities, such as dimensional, performance, life cycle, mechanical, electrical, or chemical characteristics.
  • May perform, as needed, destructive and/or nondestructive tests on materials, parts, or products.
  • Records data and may apply statistical quality control procedures.
  • Detects nonconformances/anomalies during inspection process effectively.
  • Identifies any documentation errors or ommissions and general noncompliance to GDP requirements.
  • Generates nonconformance notifications as required.
  • Perform inspection equipment start-up and/or verification activities, as required.
