About The Position

Franklin International, a leading manufacturer of adhesives, coatings, and sealants is currently seeking a Quality Control Technician. The Quality Control Technician is responsible for ensuring product quality by performing a variety of quality control laboratory services in the testing and evaluation of the company’s products. This position will primarily be on 3rd shift (11pm - 7:30am), but will also need to be flexible to work other shifts to cover for vacations, sick days, or other department staffing needs. Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED with 1 year of technical experience, or associate’s degree with no experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Prefer previous QC/Lab experience in chemical manufacturing (or related) environment.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor product quality by performing defined tests to evaluate product properties and characteristics.
  • Make decisions concerning the inspection status and/or adjustments of products or batches according to prescribed instructions and procedures
  • Compile information obtained from testing, record test results in company’s quality systems, make verbal reports
  • Read meters, dials, gauges and scales; operate, calibrate, and maintain lab equipment; perform simple math calculations
