About The Position

Serve as the Quality Control Manager (QCM) for DAWSONs Facilities Operations, Maintenance, and Support Services contract supporting the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) at Research Triangle Park (RTP), North Carolina. The QCM is responsible for implementing and overseeing the Quality Control Program to ensure all work performed under the contract meets contract requirements, applicable codes, and Government standards. The QCM operates independently from the on-site Project Manager to ensure authority and objectivity in quality oversight.

Requirements

  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience performing quality control functions , including reviewing plans and specifications for task orders and performing final reviews of completed work to ensure quality, code compliance, and specification compliance.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of Project Management experience .
  • Demonstrated experience supporting facilities operations, maintenance, repair, and construction activities in large or complex facilities.
  • Ability to independently implement and manage a Quality Control Program.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively interface with Government personnel.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain access to EPA facilities.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Contingent upon contract award.

Responsibilities

  • Establish, implement, and maintain the contract Quality Control Program (QCP) in accordance with contract requirements.
  • Review plans, specifications, and task order requirements prior to execution to ensure compliance with contract and technical requirements.
  • Perform quality control reviews of work performed to ensure quality of final product, code compliance, and conformance with approved plans and specifications.
  • Conduct inspections and document findings throughout task order execution and upon completion of work.
  • Identify deficiencies and ensure corrective actions are implemented and documented.
  • Coordinate quality control activities with Government personnel, including the Contracting Officer (CO) and Contracting Officers Representative (COR).
  • Maintain required quality control documentation, inspection records, and reports.
  • Ensure quality control processes are applied consistently across facilities operations, maintenance, repair, and construction activities.
  • Report directly to a DAWSON official who is managerially senior to the on-site Project Manager, maintaining independence from day-to-day operations.
