About The Position

Quality Control Manager – A-E Group Exp Federal delivers full-service Architecture & Engineering services, construction, and facility management services throughout the world. Exp Federal's mission is to provide superior technical solutions to the U.S. federal government utilizing skilled personnel familiar with working throughout the United States and overseas. The Challenge:    We are seeking a talented Quality Control Manager for our Architecture and Engineering Group. In addition to performing design duties as either an Architect or Professional Engineer, the role is responsible for ensuring that project documents adhere to our contractual requirements, applicable codes, and regulatory standards. The successful candidate will work closely with project teams addressing quality challenges through project reviews, mentoring, and training. The Quality Manager is responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and maintenance of the Quality Assurance and Quality Control program for exp Federal’s projects. This role reviews and documents compliance with company standards, client specifications, and regulatory requirements, while promoting a culture of continuous improvement and quality excellence. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree inArchitecture orCivil, Mechanical,Structuralor Electrical Engineeringrequired.
  • 12+years’ experienceindegreeddisciplinewith a role involving QA/QC oversight
  • On site construction experience working with design team and Contractors.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance is required.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required for our positions in accordance with 8 U.S.C. 1324b.2c.

Nice To Haves

  • Building science or Building Envelope detailing experiencepreferred.
  • Experience with facilities for clients in the Federal Government sector is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Perform duties as outlined inapplicableprofessionally licenseddisciplinepositiondescription.
  • Quality Program Managementencompassesapproximately 20% of the workweek performingduties as the Quality Manager supporting the Corporate Quality Officer.
  • Maintain,updateand enforce the company’s QA/QC plan across all projects.Reviewprojectdocuments and specifications for compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and client requirements. Participate in design reviews atdesignatedmilestones.
  • ConductRoot Cause Analysis: Investigate the origins of design defectsand construction RequestsForInformation (RFI)andrecommendcorrective or preventive actions to avoid recurrence.
  • Cross-DisciplineCollaboration: Coordinate efforts ofdesign teams, project managers, andsubconsultantsto resolve quality issues early in the project lifecycle. 
  • Team Development:Communicate quality requirements to internal teams and external partners.
