About The Position

You will be the Quality Engineer for Lockheed Martin Missiles & Fire Control (MFC) in Grand Prairie, Texas. Our team is responsible for ensuring the quality of manufactured, repaired, and procured products meet or exceed design and process requirements. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s level degree or higher in STEM.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule.
  • Prior Mechanical or Electrical quality engineering experience developing and reviewing quality standards, methods, work instructions and procedures for the inspection of manufactured and procured products.
  • Able to interpret drawings and specifications to develop and apply quality test, inspection methods and work instructions.
  • Demonstrated ability to use causal analysis tools.
  • Experience in disposition of non-conforming products.
  • Proficient skill level with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Reviewing documentation related to internal and external manufacturing processes
  • Analyzing quality data on yields, rework, scrap, and non-conformance aging
  • Leading program parts review and corrective action meetings
  • Performing assessments and audits on processes and procedures to ensure compliance
  • Evaluating design assurance activities and production process methodology
  • Interfacing with customers, suppliers, and program personnel on quality-related issues
  • Utilizing lean initiatives to reduce waste and maintain continuous improvement
