Quality Engineering Intern

About The Position

Quality Engineering Intern will assist the quality department in performing metrology and gauge studies to ensure that the tools used to measure product quality are accurate, reliable, and consistent. This role focuses on Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA) to determine if variations in data come from the product itself or the tools used to measure it.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED, and pursuing an associate or bachelors degree in related field.
Bachelor’s degree in related field, and pursuing graduate level degree program.
Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously, without close supervision.
Problem-solving abilities.
Ability to identify waste and creatively look for solutions.
Ability to work with high level of confidentiality.
Capacity to be flexible and multitask.
Proficient with computers, including Microsoft Office.
Ability to communicate effectively with team members and leadership staff.

Responsibilities

Lead or Assist in Gage Repeatability and Reproducibility (GR&R) studies to minimize variation caused by measurement devices or different operators.
Complete projects as assigned within internship discipline.
Attend Viaflex sponsored training and educational seminars.
Engage and participate in Viaflex sponsored events.
Work closely with assigned mentor and manager to reach successful completion of internship.
Provide periodic updates to managers and peers on assigned project(s).
Complete summer end internship presentation.
Demonstrates Viaflex Team Member Values in their daily actions and encourages their teams to do the same.
May be called upon to perform comparable duties of a similar or related nature and/or assist in other areas as needed.
Learning, understanding, continuously improving, and promoting the division’s quality management system in accordance with ISO standards.
