Quality Gate Auditor- 2nd Shift Quality Gate and Pre-Delivery Auditor Location: Lafayette, Indiana CATERPILLAR - BUILD WHAT MATTERS What matters most to you? Is it being part of a strong team? Together, we can build what matters! This position encompasses the audit of all engines during various stages of the build process. The main responsibilities include auditing engines for compliance to the appropriate documentation; accurately recording all engine non-conformances in the AQE system and communicating found engine non-conformances to the appropriate person for repair. This person will work closely with all assembly personnel, support groups, and assembly management to meet product quality goals and objectives and will at times assist in quality functions outside of the audit process. This position will rotate throughout various quality gates in the assembly areas and will therefor require that the individual train in multiple areas.

  • Basic computer skills
  • Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 40 lbs.
  • Must be able to bend and twist at the waist and be able to squat.
  • Stand on concrete for 8+ hours.

  • Be flexible to work overtime as needed to support production demands.
  • Possess and show strong interpersonal skills and apply customer-based focus.

Responsibilities

  • Learning Caterpillar Systems and using them appropriately (MESA, AQE, etc.)
  • Computer Skills – Microsoft Teams, Email
  • Strong customer focus approach, communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to work with diverse groups
