In the Quality Improvement Coordinator role, you will play a key role in the organization of works in collaboration with the Director of Quality and Risk to ensure that regulatory standards and requirements related to Quality Improvement are met throughout the organization. Leads and directs process and overall quality improvement activities that produce better patient care and more efficient operations. Location: Anacortes, WA Schedule: Full Time / Days Salary Range: $88,150.40 – $132,225.60 annually For Information on Employee Benefits What you will be doing: Coordination of data collection and data entry for Quality Indicators in the acute care, outpatient and clinic setting depending on the needs of the organization. Analysis of data and report preparation for various committees based on the needs of the organization. Internal audits: Coordinate, conduct and report findings. Internal audits: Monitor and assist with completion of corrective action plans. Attend and participate in department staff meetings and other meetings related to QI activities (i.e. assist with development of tactics to achieve departmental goals and regular review of progress). Implements a strategy and plans for a quality improvement functions within the facility in collaboration with Quality Director and departmental leaders. Maintains quality initiatives in clinics and hospital. Provide education to identified staff and providers on pay for performance initiatives and other performance improvement measures. Collaborate on Quality policies and procedures and other policies and procedures as needed. Provide education to managers, staff and public regarding Island Hospital quality scores and programs. Patient complaints and grievances: Investigation and follow-up as required Accreditation: Assists with organizational preparation for and follow-up for accreditation compliance Operate all office machines. Demonstrate proficiency in use of computer, including MS Office software (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). Able and willing to learn new programs quickly and to assist others in the department with problems as the need arises. Must have excellent keyboarding and computer skills. Possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills. Able to handle operational matters not requiring executive disposition appropriately. Able to work well under pressure and deadlines. Must have demonstrated ability to interact positively with Administration, Directors, Managers, Supervisors, peers, co-workers, subordinates, patients and visitors. Demonstrates critical thinking skills and ability to handle conflict management with multiple team players. Must have ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees and members of medical staff. Demonstrated ability to establish priorities and coordinate work activities independently, as appropriate. Takes initiative in problem solving and is able to make sound decisions. Exhibits a high level of organizational effectiveness and has the ability to work well under the pressure of deadlines and conflicting priorities. Must be able to use discretion, good judgment and common sense in decision-making situations. Demonstrated ability to take verbal direction and translate into effective, accurate written communication. Possesses knowledge of Continuous Quality Improvement principles and supports the hospital's philosophy of performance improvement Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and is able to identify each customer’s requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs.
