About The Position

The Supervisor/Team Lead is responsible for coordinating and overseeing sorting, inspection, and rework operations within a manufacturing environment. This role ensures that all containment activities are completed efficiently, safely, and in accordance with quality standards and customer requirements. The Team Lead will start and manage jobs, assign tasks to inspectors, monitor productivity and accuracy, and provide guidance to team members throughout the shift. This position requires strong leadership, organization, and communication skills to ensure workstations are properly prepared, employees are trained on work instructions, and all documentation is completed accurately. The Team Lead serves as the primary point of contact on the floor for assigned jobs and is responsible for maintaining safety standards, addressing issues that arise during production, and ensuring smooth shift transitions through clear communication with management and other team leads.iohi

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required (Associate’s degree or higher preferred)
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed
  • Prior experience in an automotive or manufacturing environment preferred
  • 3+ years of supervisory experience preferred
  • Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 35 lbs, and work in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with Microsoft Office preferred
  • Basic math skills required
  • Ability to follow instructions and complete assigned tasks
  • Strong communication skills and ability to clearly instruct others
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently

Responsibilities

  • Oversee containment processes and supervise employees performing inspection and sorting activities at assigned workstations
  • Lead by example, maintain organization, and practice good housekeeping throughout the facility
  • Ensure employees follow all company health and safety policies and procedures
  • Report any accidents or incidents immediately to management
  • Coordinate shift start activities prior to start time (workstation setup, documentation, etc.)
  • Ensure end-of-shift responsibilities are completed, including auditing paperwork, reviewing time sheets, and communicating with the next shift Team Lead
  • Ensure proper tools and materials are available to complete assigned jobs
  • Provide on-the-job training when new work instructions are implemented
  • Maintain accountability for personnel assigned to specific jobs
  • Provide performance feedback to management
  • Report policy or procedure violations to management
  • Participate in and support all health and safety initiatives
