As the Quality Inspection Technician you will coordinate the organization's daily logistical operations, including inventory control, order fulfillment, and distribution. Review inventory to ensure that product adjustments are properly applied. Plan and schedule inbound and outbound shipments to internal or external customers based on needs. Act as liaison between customers, freight carriers and shipping department. Ensure on-time delivery of goods to customers, by investigating and resolving detention issues. Assist is cost control by evaluating shipments, consolidating loads, and selecting most cost-efficient method of shipment within Department of Defense guidelines. Provide specialized technical expertise for the quality program, including inspection and testing techniques, quality training, statistical methods, audits, and problem-solving tools. Apply knowledge of quality systems and tools to validate and verify contractually required standards for project execution. Implement performance evaluation and prediction methods to enhance product systems' safety, reliability, and maintainability. Maintain quality standards for products, procedures, and materials within the work scope. Develop core job competencies by solving standard problems using existing procedures. Support the team in managing inventories and dispositions of government/customer assets and materials. Utilize Customer Management Operating Systems (MOS) tools and Global Asset Management (GAM) metrics to ensure operational efficiency. Support site-specific government property standards and conduct monthly assessment and safety reporting.
