About The Position

To inspect and perform quality testing of fabricated structures. To complete
required documentation in accordance with Quality specific procedures and
communicates results to necessary parties (both internal and external).

The following duties are typical for this role. Other duties may be assigned to
address business needs and changing business practices.

Requirements

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to communicate effectively across multiple business unites and with outside entities
• Ability to use a tape measure
• Ability to understand and comply with all quality processes and procedures
• Ability to learn and become a Certified Welding Inspector
• Ability to learn and become certified in Ultrasonic Testing and Mag Particle Testing.
• Ability to learn quality programs and become a resource to others
• Ability to train and mentor others
• Basic proficiency in computer applications including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel

Nice To Haves

• 4+ years of industrial steel manufacturing experience
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints

Responsibilities

• Inspects and performs quality testing to determine conformance and nonconformance of materials, sub-assemblies, and assemblies in relation to drawings, specifications, and inspection instructions
• Documents results of inspections and quality tests
• Acts as a Quality representative amongst internal departments, external supplies, and external customers
• Presents necessary deliverables to internal and external parties
• Works under the guidance of supervision
