About The Position

SPX is a diverse team of unique individuals who all make an impact. As the 2nd shift Quality Inspector and Crater, you will work as a team in the final inspection and crating of finished goods. The Quality Inspector is a cross functional role that may test, inspect, package, and crate completed fans to meet on time delivery and exceed customer satisfaction.

  • Previous experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Responsibilities

  • Follow all safety rules and adhere to core value of business
  • Maintain general work areas and/or equipment used in a clean and orderly condition
  • Ensure proper and effective operation of equipment and tools throughout entire process. Report repairs and/or issues to team lead or supervisor
  • Able to read job tickets, work orders, and instructions
  • Use of hand truck, forklift, and related devices
  • Securely pack and wrap product for shipment
  • Familiar with hand tools, drill presses, foam machines, cranes, and other tools used in a shop or manufacturing environment
  • Perform preventative maintenance on tools and equipment as needed
  • Complete tasks as directed with minimum supervision
  • Confirm material, sizes, and parts match job tickets
  • Ensure all parts and surfaces are free from defects
  • Able to self-monitor quality of own work, and report to lead or supervisor unusual, defective, or operating difficulties
  • Complete all tasks and work within designed quality guidelines
  • Desire to do the right thing
  • Team player, assisting other team members and departments as needed with other duties not routine to position
  • Punctual, on time, ready to work, every day
