Quality Inspector I
About The Position
We are seeking a Quality Inspector I to support quality assurance and inspection activities within a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for conducting inspections throughout various stages of the production process to ensure products meet internal quality standards and customer specifications. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. This position offers an opportunity to develop hands-on experience using measurement tools and quality inspection processes.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to read and understand basic technical documents and work instructions
- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive inspection tasks
- Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Basic math skills for measurements and documentation
Nice To Haves
- Previous manufacturing or quality inspection experience preferred
- Experience using basic measuring tools or gauges is a plus
Responsibilities
- Perform visual and dimensional inspections of raw materials, in-process items, and finished products
- Use measurement tools and gauges to verify product specifications
- Record inspection results and maintain accurate documentation
- Follow established quality control procedures and work instructions
- Assist with preparation and maintenance of quality control documentation
- Ensure proper labeling and traceability of materials and products
- Maintain organized quality records and documentation
- Collect data for statistical process control (SPC) and quality improvement initiatives
- Participate in team discussions related to product quality and process improvements
- Follow applicable quality standards and internal procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace in accordance with safety and quality guidelines
- Report quality issues or discrepancies to supervisors promptly
- Collaborate with production teams to resolve quality concerns
- Participate in training and quality meetings as needed
