About The Position

Venture Solutions Inc. is seeking a Q uality Inspector to join their team . In this role, you will support and execute quality and process improvement initiatives throughout the normal production process. This is a working production position with responsibility for monitoring the quality of products being produced. This location adheres to the Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA). All employees must undergo a federal background check, which requires U.S. citizenship.

Requirements

• Previous Quality Inspection or related / relevant experience within a fast-paced high production environment
• Strong attention to detail
• Basic measuring skills - able to read a ruler and other measurement devices
• Basic computer skills (open and save documents, print files, and enter data)
• Strong communication skills - must be able to read, write, and speak English
• Ability to perform duties and tasks to meet deadlines
• Good problem-solving skills

Nice To Haves

• Experience working in the print and/or mail industry

Responsibilities

• Physically verify that final products meet production standards by comparing them to the written order instructions
• Examine material by confirming required manufacturing or industry specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and rejecting and returning unacceptable materials
• Return products for re-work if needed and complete documentation to confirm re-work
• Explain to operators and supervisors how the product doesn’t match the clients instructions
• Walk around to different machines to verify the accuracy of jobs
• Report problems or concerns with quality results with senior management immediately
• Ensure that items that go out the door are 100% accurate
• Input data into the production database
• Learn about our production process and the role that the QA has
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations
• Inspect materials and products for conformance to specifications using fixed or preset measuring instruments
• Ensures materials and products are in accordance with established tolerance levels for quality and performance and are not irregular or damaged
