About The Position

About the Role We are seeking a highly dependable and detail‑oriented Quality Inspector to join our manufacturing team. This role is essential in ensuring all products meet customer requirements, internal specifications, and applicable quality standards. The ideal candidate will support the Quality Management System (QMS), collaborate cross‑functionally, and assist Shipping & Receiving as needed. Key Responsibilities Perform incoming, in‑process, and final inspections per established procedures Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications Verify product conformance using micrometers, calipers, gauges, optical comparators, CMM equipment (preferred), and other precision measurement tools Document inspection results accurately and maintain proper quality records Identify nonconforming material and complete required NCR or deviation documentation Assist with root‑cause analysis and corrective action efforts Maintain clean, organized, and calibrated inspection equipment Support the Quality Management System (QMS): maintain documentation, follow controlled processes, assist with audits, and support continuous improvement initiatives Support Shipping & Receiving as needed, including inspection of incoming materials and verification of documentation Manage calibration requirements for inspection and production tools by tracking schedules, ensuring on‑time calibration, and maintaining traceable records Communicate effectively with production, engineering, and leadership regarding quality concerns Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 / AS9100 standards Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required 1–3 years of quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment preferred Ability to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T symbols, and technical drawings CMM experience preferred (operation or programming) Proficiency with micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other precision tools Strong attention to detail and accuracy Basic computer skills (Excel, QA software, documentation systems) Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments Familiarity with QMS processes and calibration management preferred Must be able to work in a fast‑paced environment with flexibility in learning new tasks and responsibilities Must be a team player with the ability to work both collaboratively and independently as needed Preferred Experience (Not Required) Aerospace, machining, or precision manufacturing background Knowledge of ISO 9001 / AS9100 requirements Experience supporting implementation or compliance efforts related to AS13100 Experience with NCRs, CARs, audits, or calibration programs Schedule & Working Conditions Full‑time, Monday–Friday Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs as needed

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1–3 years of quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T symbols, and technical drawings
  • CMM experience preferred (operation or programming)
  • Proficiency with micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other precision tools
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Basic computer skills (Excel, QA software, documentation systems)
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments
  • Familiarity with QMS processes and calibration management preferred
  • Must be able to work in a fast‑paced environment with flexibility in learning new tasks and responsibilities
  • Must be a team player with the ability to work both collaboratively and independently as needed

Nice To Haves

  • Aerospace, machining, or precision manufacturing background
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 / AS9100 requirements
  • Experience supporting implementation or compliance efforts related to AS13100
