About The Position

Under the general supervision of the VP or Manager of Quality, the Quality Inspector is responsible to insure that parts being produced meet the specifications and standards provided by our customers. Inspectors will perform routine repetitive inspection activities using predetermined and prescribed methods and procedures on products with sample analysis, and documents the quality activities in support of the quality department. The above mentioned activities are required to all MRPC to maintain our ISO 13485 certification.

Requirements

• Must have previous Quality Inspection experience to be considered.
• Vision Able to differentiate colors utilizing samples and/or color chips.
• Technical Mathematics Basic shop math. Convert between English and Metric Numeric conversions: use various numbering methods such as scientific notation, decimals and fractions and convert values.
• Metrology Common gauges and measurement instruments Calipers, Micrometer, scales etc.. Must have basic level understanding of mechanical inspection.
• Print/DrawingMust have knowledge on how to read print and pull certain information Revision level, print/part number, tolerance block and dimensions
• Computer Knowledge Must have basic computer knowledge using excel spreadsheets. Enter data and save files.
• High school diploma or GED.
• One to three years of inspection experience.
• Requires the ability to operate department equipment to include computerized optical comparator, coordinate measuring machine, department computer, microscope, Statistical Process Control, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing, Blueprint Reading and various measuring instruments.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with ISO9000/13485 fundamentals a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform floor inspections, per procedures/inspection guide/prints, on parts in house and from customers and/or suppliers.
• Input and maintain inspection data into Inspection Process Sheet.
• Issue MRB's through ERP System for non-conforming product that is found.
• Communicate non-conformance findings with Shift Production Supervisors.
• Provide explanation of VIC to operators on the production floor.
• Complete special projects, as assigned
