About The Position

Element has an opportunity for a Quality Inspector (Fixed Term) to join our rapidly expanding team. As a member of the operations team the Quality Inspector position performs a variety of routine and non-routine testing assignments within the department assigned and ensures timely and accurate test results under direct supervision. The technician position must be proficient in a number of core business skills including but not limited to compliance to established safety rules, code of conduct, and company policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Working knowledge of laboratory safety
• HS diploma or GED certificate preferred. College or vocational school coursework welcomed
• Proficiency with measuring equipment such as caliper, micrometer, and height gages
• 0-2 years’ experience in a testing related field
• Basic understanding of testing concepts
• Possess computer skills.
• Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry a plus

Responsibilities

• Possess the ability to work alone throughout the work day with limited supervision
• Understand what must be completed each work day and takes the initiative to complete those tasks properly and timely - does not need Senior/Principal Technician or management to explain what the task is
• Ability to read and understand customer specifications and perform the testing or inspections required
• Able to set up and perform a variety of tests/inspections according to customer specifications under the supervision and technical input of Senior/Principal
