YOUR DAY TO DAY: Determine method and perform simple to complex mechanical measurement inspection tasks to ensure compliance with engineering drawing specifications and customer drawing specifications. Interface with Engineering, Manufacturing, and QA Engineering to resolve non-conforming material.

Requirements

  • Must have a minimum of a high school diploma or G.E.D. certificate.
  • Experience with mechanical measurement inspections.
  • Proficient in the reading and interpretation of engineering drawings utilizing ASME Y14.5 standards.
  • Experience with quality/inspection equipment and gauges such as digital calipers, Micro-Hite height gage, go/no-go thread gages, Zeiss CMM operation, visual inspection, etc.
  • Must have the ability to clearly record (legible handwriting) and document all inspection results and complete computer transactions as appropriate.
  • Must have good communication skills and be able to work in a team environment under minimum supervision. Interface with Engineering, Manufacturing, and QA Engineering to resolve non-conforming material.
  • This position requires potential access to technology controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). The successful candidate must be a “U.S. Person” as defined under ITAR and EAR. In order to be a U.S. Person for ITAR and EAR purposes, you must (i) be a citizen or national of the United States; or (ii) be a lawful permanent resident of the United States; or (iii) a protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).
