About The Position

Flex-N-Gate is a leading manufacturer and supplier of components for the automotive industry, recently ranked 10th of the 150 Top North American Suppliers in “Automotive News.” A growing and vital company, Flex-N-Gate provides a great opportunity for hard-working and skilled individuals. Definition / Purpose: Inspects and tests production part and components to meet the quality standards and systems required. Ensure that the product meets customer’s requirements by carrying out relevant testing and where necessary take corrective action to rectify non-conformance issues. Report quality issues data, ensuring the Quality Management System is adhered to.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required;
  • Proven experience as a Quality Technician or in a similar manufacturing QA role
  • Strong knowledge of inspection methods, measuring tools (calipers, mics), and testing equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong communication skills to report findings to team members and management.

Responsibilities

  • Perform quality tests on finished product per schedules.
  • Perform Paint test daily.
  • Maintain calibration system and calibrate inspection tools and check fixtures.
  • CMM operations as needed
  • Maintain quality control documentation and reports.
  • Conduct finished product (dock) audits / internal audits as needed.
  • Communicate and quality findings and recommendations to management
  • Utilize precision measuring tools as needed.
  • Key skills include attention to detail, proficiency in testing procedures and strong analytical abilities.
  • Ensure compliance to the Quality Management systems (IATF1949 / ISO9001).
  • Participate in root cause analysis and resolving problems as needed.
  • Comply with the Health, Safety and Environmental Policies.
