In this hands-on role, you'll ensure products meet the highest standards and comply with industry regulations. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, deep process knowledge, and experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS). Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Minimum 5 years of quality control/assurance experience in metal fabrication or a manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of metalworking processes including welding, cutting, forming, and machining
  • Familiarity with industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001, AWS, ASME)
  • Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
  • Experience with quality tools and methodologies (e.g., SPC, FMEA, Six Sigma)
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the plants quality management system in accordance with ISO standards or other relevant certifications
  • Supervise quality control inspectors and technicians, providing training, scheduling, and performance evaluations
  • Inspect materials, components, and finished products using appropriate tools and techniques (e.g., calipers, micrometers, CMM, weld inspections)
  • Establish and enforce quality procedures, standards, and specifications throughout the production process
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective action processes (RCA, 8D, or similar methodologies)
  • Maintain documentation and quality records, including inspection reports, test data, and calibration logs
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and procurement teams to resolve quality issues and implement process improvements
  • Conduct internal and external audits; coordinate customer and regulatory inspections
  • Monitor and analyze quality metrics (e.g., defect rates, rework, scrap rates) and prepare reports for management
  • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations in all quality-related activities
