About The Position
We are looking for a Quality Specialist Inspector to join our Shelby team! As our Quality Specialist Inspector you will, monitor the flow of material through the manufacture/test process and final inspection. Curtiss-Wright Actuation Division designs, manufactures, and supports electro-mechanical actuation products and systems for use in demanding applications in Aerospace, Defense and Industrial Automation markets. Our market leading solutions help improve the reliability, efficiency and performance of our customers' operations and platforms, as well as reducing their environmental impact with energy efficient electro-mechanical designs and technology. For the Aerospace market, we supply actuation systems for flight control, landing gear, utility and other applications on both commercial and military aircraft. Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen
- High school Diploma or equivalent
- 1-3 years experience
- Strong machining background
- Knowledge of advanced measurement techniques for spline gears, ring gears etc.
- Advanced GD&T knowledge
- Prior CMM operation
Responsibilities
- Performs data pack and shipping document review.
- Reviews inspection/test failure and rejection reports to identify project failure trends and provides recommendations for corrective action.
- Assists Quality Engineering and Quality Inspection in the development of inspection plans.
- Provide assistance to inspection personnel in the identification and resolution of problems encountered during hardware flow to ensure acceptable quality levels are maintained.
- Performs system and process audits.
- Performs actual inspection of hardware when required.
