The QC Supervisor performs a range of tasks and building initiatives. Generally, the QC Inspector Supervisor coordinates the day-to-day planning of the operation to ensure the team meets their daily production goals. The essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to, the following: Supervise the team of Inspectors performing in process inspections and final inspections at various levels from various production. This includes maintaining employee timecards, generating development and performance objectives for all associates, and performing reviews and/or providing regular feedback to associates. Track inspection of product using the priority list. Assist in scheduling and performing inspection activities to meet the performance metrics including understanding the needs of each production, as well as critical shipments planned. Monitor QDIP process and review performance through the daily metrics. In addition, monitor relevant Quality KPI’s. Monitor cell/building-specific actions pertaining to Inspection to ensure timely completion. Monitor accuracy and correctness of build books and other manufacturing documentation. Monitor and drive standard work processes throughout various work. Analyze nonconformance reports (NCRs) within assigned area and escalate issues to IPT team members to help drive closure of NCRs. This may include looking at trends in NCR generation to aid in continuous/preventative activities. Work alongside IPT team members to drive Root Cause/Corrective Action for recurring issues or defects occurring within work cell. Monitor associate skills and provide input on training and cross training needs. Manage any interpersonal issues/team conflicts and where required, escalate issues directly to the Quality Manager for further involvement. Monitor the team’s performance and provide input to assist the Quality Manager in the continuous effort of building extraordinary teams and support the Fortive9 behaviors. Encourage team members to submit suggestions and provide solutions for inspection improvement implementation. Involve team members in problem-solving activities and QDIP assignments. Interview, onboard and train new in-process inspectors upon hire. Support/Perform Quality, Engineering and Auditors during site visits and audits.
