About The Position

The Quality Systems Specialist is responsible for supporting the operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of quality systems and processes. This position works under the guidance of senior team members to execute defined tasks related to system enhancements, data maintenance, documentation, and user support. The role focuses on developing foundational knowledge of quality systems, processes, and data structures while contributing to system implementation and improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor of Science (BS) or equivalent degree in the field of science and technology and two to three years related experience and/or training.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present multifunctional information in one-on-one and small group situations.
  • Ability to understand and write step action guides.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic enterprise systems usage.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously

Nice To Haves

  • Strong process knowledge of the relevant process area and a good understanding of how systems enable the process.
  • Keeping track of and providing regular updates to leadership on project status vs plan.
  • Researching information as required.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, assembling quotes, etc.
  • Complete tasks assigned by Management in a timely manner
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues that arise within the project
  • Escalate any major issues that cannot be resolved within the work stream.
  • A good understanding of Master Data and its use across all relevant process areas and how its structures are used to enable reporting.
  • Strong project management skills, understanding interdependencies and risks.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with senior stakeholders and to work cross functionally.
  • Highly proficient in Word, Powerpoint and Excel skills

Responsibilities

  • Support the execution of quality systems projects, enhancements, and process changes under defined direction.
  • Assist with the evaluation of existing quality processes and systems to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Perform routine system maintenance activities, including master data updates, basic troubleshooting, and documentation updates.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Step Action Guides.
  • Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities by executing test scripts and documenting results..
  • Deliver training to end users using established materials and defined processes.
  • Provide day-to-day support to quality, laboratory, and administrative users by resolving basic issues and escalating complex problems.
  • Collaborate with Quality, R&D, GES, and other stakeholders as a project contributor.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records related to systems and processes.
