About The Position

The position involves performing inspections and quality tests on raw materials, in-process items, and finished goods. The role requires identifying and reporting defects, inconsistencies, and deviations from quality standards, as well as identifying Critical to Quality conditions on parts. The individual will maintain and analyze quality assurance documentation and metrics, and ensure compliance with quality control systems and procedures. Troubleshooting and resolving complex product quality issues with the support of other team members is essential. The position also involves monitoring operations affecting product quality and ensuring compliance with industry and company standards. Additionally, the role includes providing training and support to production teams on quality standards and testing methods, collaborating with engineering and production teams to drive continuous improvement, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a manufacturing quality role (typically 1-3 years).
  • Knowledge of quality control procedures, tools, and legal standards.
  • Proficiency in using measurement and testing devices (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges).
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and engineering drawings.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Attention to details.
  • Familiarity with statistical process control and lean manufacturing principles.
  • High school diploma required; associate or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Certification (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Technician) is a plus.
