About The Position

The Quality Technician is responsible for ensuring product and process quality by applying quality techniques to analyze materials and workflows, clarifying standards for operations, inspecting and testing products, leading problem-solving efforts with cross functional teams, and containing quality concerns to ensure our products meet the organization’s quality standards. Requirements

  • 6+ Years of manufacturing experience, including 4 years within a quality or manufacturing technician role required
  • Mechanical technical degree or equivalent required
  • Proven experience with measurement systems and tooling, MSA
  • Strong technical problem-solving skills (5 Wys, Fishbone, etc.)
  • Proficient in reading complex blueprints and GD&T
  • Highly competent in data analysis
  • Expert in capability studies and SPC
  • Able to develop statistical sampling plans and sorts
  • Proficient in Excel and other analytical tools
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to create reports

Nice To Haves

  • Familiar with ISO 9001 preferred
  • Experience with PPAP/APQP preferred

Responsibilities

  • Identify and Improve Process constraints (issues) by driving Root Cause Analysis with other functions
  • Update and Develop Work Instructions
  • Hold and Release FG product per standard and work instructions
  • Training and development of Quality Inspectors
  • Perform Process and Finished good Audits
  • Analyze and report on production quality data
  • Respond to, resolve and report out on non conformances
  • Conduct material trials and evaluations as needed.
  • Liaison with Product Development on Process and Product improvements activities
  • Approvals of deviations representing Quality organization
